Job Description

The National Access and Scaffolding Confederation (NASC) is a premier trade association representing the interests of the scaffolding and access industry. As the recognised authority on access and scaffolding, NASC is committed to advancing safety, standards, and best practices in the industry. With a membership base spanning contractors, manufacturers, and suppliers, NASC plays a pivotal role in promoting excellence and growth within the sector.

Position Overview:

The purpose of this unique role is to provide invaluable assistance in various aspects of health & safety knowledge and thought leadership within the technical team of NASC. The role is responsible for facilitating the provision of advice and support to Members and industry stakeholders on health & safety matters. 

London (Hybrid) 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly to health and safety related queries from the ‘help desk’ on industry related health and safety enquiries. Ensuring information is recorded in the membership database. 
  • To research suitable solutions / advice for queries that exceed the individual's knowledgeH&S 
  • To be aware of any changes to health and safety related legislation / guidance / practices and communicate relevant information to your H&S/Technical Team (who will arrange where needed for information to be passed on to be published through NASC’s recognised processes as appropriate. 
  • Be the focal point for the introduction of the H&S pre-qualification provision for members.
  • Consider and suggest topics where developing a new Guidance Note may be of benefit to members.
  • Support the Chair and members of the Safety Committee with technical health & safety information.
  • Attend meetings/events as required to support/represent/promote the NASC

Who are we looking for?

You will have a recognised Health & Safety general/construction qualification e.g. Nebos and ideally a good working knowledge of operational health & safety  within the construction, access or scaffolding sector. Strong IT and communications skills are necessary in a role that will need the ability to project manage, prioritize and multitask. You will have a collaborative approach to working.
